Part of the ‘Wallflower Series’

The term "wallflower" has often been used to describe someone who is shy or introverted and tends to blend into the background at social events. This is one of many words that is used unfairly towards mostly women as it implies that they are passive and uninteresting.

It reinforces the societal expectation that women should be outgoing and sociable, and if they are not, they are somehow deficient.

Sybil is the antithesis of this idea. Her name means ‘prophet’ and she is looked upon as a very wise woman. A woman who is often the observer and who knows when the best use of ones tongue is to bite it.

Sybil is has her Cormorant companion with her.

Like Sybil, from a distance, this bird appears dark with a snaky neck, but upon taking the time to move closer and take some time, people learn that the Cormorant is quite beautiful and interesting. It has orange-yellow skin on their face and throat, striking aquamarine eyes that sparkle like jewels, and a mouth that is bright blue on the inside.
