36”x36”
Handpainted collage on canvas

Iris has always found solace in the embrace of noon, considering it a pivotal point in her day, and a compass for both the sun's position and her own next steps. Thursday was a bit the same. In many ways, seemed to mirror her current state of being.

With most of the week behind her, she could finally bid farewell to its triumphs and tribulations, leaving them firmly in the past. It served as a bridge, connecting her past experiences to the possibilities of the future.

Perhaps there were more aspects of her life she could willingly relinquish to the depths of the past?

Iris' book lies just beyond its halfway mark, eagerly awaiting her return. She relishes the prospect of uncovering the remaining chapters, fully open to the author's revisions in real time, along the way.

Thursday’s child has far to go…but not too far.
