Eloise Decided That She Would Cry Over Anything She Wanted

CA$500.00
sold out

12”x12”
Mixed media collage on wood panel

This piece reimagines the old idiom "Don't cry over spilled milk," turning it on its head to explore themes of emotional autonomy and the quiet rebellion of feeling deeply in a world that often demands composure.
Eloise is both dignified and vulnerable, unapologetically emotional with a crown of milk that becomes both her adornment and her undoing.
I hope this piece reminds and encourages that not all emotions must be justified or rationalized. Sometimes, crying over spilled milk is not only allowed, but necessary. Whatever your ‘spilled milk’ may be.
